They were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident while shooting on the sets of 'Gangchil' under construction in Companyganj, Noakhali. Various parts of their body were bruised.

A motorcycle scene was being shot on Sunday morning, the day of the accident. This scene was also shot on Saturday. Purnima was driving the motorcycle and Ferdous was sitting behind her. Ferdous and Purnima fell on the side of the road when their motorcycle suddenly skidded and overturned. It hurts both. Both of them were cut in some parts of their bodies.

Poornima suffered severe pain in her shoulder in that accident. Nayak Ferdous injured his left knee. Different parts of their body were bruised. The next shooting date will depend on their recovery.

Actress Purnima and hero Ferdous were victims of a motorcycle accident at Charmandale shooting location of Companyganj upazila of Noakhali on Sunday morning. This hero-heroine was shooting the movie 'Gangchil' based on Obaidul Quader's novel there. Later in the afternoon, Ferdous and Purnima were admitted to Basurhat Central Hospital there.

বসুরহাট সেন্ট্রাল হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসক ডা. আ ক ম আব্দুল হক জানিয়েছেন, ফেরদৌস ও পূর্ণিমা এখানে এসেছিলেন। তারা দু’জনই ব্যথা পেয়েছেন। কিছু জায়গায় কেটেও গেছে। তবে তাদের শরীরের কোনো জায়গায় ফ্রেকচার হয়নি। তবুও এক্স-রে করানো হয়। এক্সরে করানোর পর দেখা গেছে যে, তাদের কোনো মারাত্মক ফ্রেকচার হয়নি। তবে দুজনের চামড়া থেঁতলে গেছে। ওখান থেকে প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা শেষে হোটেলে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়।

Director Naeem told reporters earlier that the shooting of the movie will be completed by the end of next March. He also hoped that the audience will see the movie by the middle of this year. However, due to the accident of the hero and heroine of the film, it is believed that the release date may be delayed due to the delay in the shooting.

It is to be noted that in this movie directed by Naeem Imtiaz Neyamul, the hero Ferdous is playing the role of a journalist and the heroine Purnima is playing the role of an NGO worker. Actress Rituparna Sengupta from Kolkata will be the guest artist. The screenplay of the film is written by Maruf Rehman and Priya Chatterjee.
