The Pakistan International Airlines Authority said that those who are overweight have been retrenched. This was stated in an order signed by Amir Bashi, Career General Manager of the organization on January 1.
The order states that cabin crew must lose at least 5 pounds per month. Because of this, if they lose 30 pounds in 6 months, they will be able to perform their duties on the plane.
According to a report by CNN, the weight of all the cabin crew has already been checked and revealed. It is said that henceforth cabin crew weights will be regularly checked and maintained. Moreover, they will also be taken to grooming cells every month to prevent weight gain.
