This is usually not the case. We hear about events that focus on a particular day or occasion. This is exactly what happened. 600 university students got married on the same day!

An incident like this happens every year in a university in Iran. This year too, like every year, a mass wedding festival of students is organized in Tehran University of Iran. 600 students got married in this 22nd marriage festival titled 'Jannat Tak Sahatri'. All the arrangements for this mass marriage are completed by the university authorities. Students do not have to pay any personal expenses.

It is known that almost every university in Iran has an organization under the supervision of the highest religious leader. Through the organization every year students get the opportunity to register for mass marriage festival free of cost. This year, 14,000 students from various universities registered in this festival.

The interest of the students in such a festival by the university authorities as opposed to the grand wedding festival of the society is quite surprising. There is no benefit to the society by spending money on lavish wedding celebrations. Rather, everyone has applauded this arrangement as it maintains order in the society by organizing marriage in such an informal ceremony.
