The Dhaka Times Desk Bangladesh Bank, the regulatory body of the banking sector, is going to launch 6 e-services. These services are being added as part of the implementation of the government's 'e-Services Roadmap 2021'.
Recently, in an exchange meeting held with the officials of the Prime Minister's Office, the officials of Bangladesh Bank highlighted the plan to launch these 6 services. Immediately after that, an inter-departmental core committee consisting of 8 members was formed to implement the program of launching this service in the central bank.
The services are:
E-invoicing management system
EFT Social Security Benefits Management System
Government Savings Instrument System
Kolmani Trading System
National Electronic Payment Gateway
E-Permission for Business Entities.
Bangladesh Bank has already started the operation of EFT Social Security Benefit Management System. Under this service, the allowance of social security beneficiaries will reach their bank account or mobile banking.
The source said that Bangladesh Bank will be able to provide these 6 e-services within the next 2 to 3 years. Some services are said to be available much earlier.
