The scene you see is a boathouse. In riverine Bangladesh, boats are needed when the rainy season comes, so there are boat stalls in those places.
Areas that are low lying areas. A boat is needed there. For at least six months of the year, these boats are the only means of transportation for people in some places. So small canoes are needed for almost every family. This is one such boat market.
