Another Nusrat departure and some questions for the wise

M. H. Sohail Nusrat Jahan Rafi. A name of oppression and brutality. The name of a woman who was brutalized and brutally murdered by a teacher.

It is a natural rule that death follows birth. But outside of that rule when people have to be subjected to extreme brutality, then the question arises about human conscience. The spread of human animal husbandry seems to be increasing day by day. Various environmental factors may be driving us through the abyss. Nusrat also had to be a victim of that brutality. He had to leave the world after fighting with death by fire.

Nusrat died yesterday (April 10) at around 9:30 pm in the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital.

Nusrat was put on life support at the burn unit in DMK. Doctors said that 75 percent of Nusrat's body was burnt. Nusrat's lungs were operated on the advice of doctors in Singapore last Tuesday (April 16).

Samant Lal Sen, national coordinator of the Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute, said the cause of death was cardiorespiratory failure due to serious infection of the blood and lungs. This is why he died.

It should be noted that on March 27, Nusrat's mother filed a case against Principal Siraj Ud Daula for sexual harassment. The girl's relatives complained that the principal's supporters set fire to Nusrat's body as she refused to withdraw the case.

Last Saturday (April 6) the madrasa student was admitted to the Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute of Dhaka Medical College Hospital with serious injuries.

Nusrat gave a statement to the doctors last Sunday before going on life support. He said four men wearing niqab, burqa and gloves set him on fire. One of those four was named Shampa.

Nusrat Jahan Rafi, a Madrasah student, died yesterday. Today there is a storm of mourning and protest among people across the country. Why a innocent innocent man had to leave the world so brutally?

There has been a storm of protest across the country. All over the country, marches-meetings continue for the maximum punishment of Principal Siraj Ud Daula. If the punishment of such worst people is not ensured, the rule of law will not be established in the country and the level of crime will not decrease.
