The Dhaka Times Desk Mallika Sherwat is known as the attractive actress of Bollywood, always discussions and debates are its constant companion. This time again she is in the headlines, but it is sad news for her, the Vadodara District Court has issued a bailable arrest warrant against her for performing obscene dance.
Mallika Sherwat has always proved herself different by performing exciting scenes or khullamkhulla dances since the beginning of her Bollywood career. Abhinay's Fake Fake stage show, she has also performed dances in many famous hotels in Mumbai.
In 2006, he performed at a New Year celebration party in Mumbai on 31 December. Alleging that he performed obscene dance at the party Baroda Bar Association Former President Narendra Tiyari filed a case and petitioned the court for issuance of non-bailable arrest warrant against Mallika Sherwat.
Narendra Tiari watched Mallika's performance of that dance on television and then filed the case. The parties involved in the management of the hotel where the party was held and Mallika Sherwat are the defendants in the case.
The lower court last week issued summons to Mallika to appear in the case by Saturday. But Mallika Sherwat did not appear in the court and Tiari applied for issuance of non-bailable arrest warrant. After the hearing, the court issued a bailable arrest warrant against Mallika and ordered her to appear before the court by August 19.
It is to be noted that Mallika Sherwat has been summoned to the court in this case. He also appealed to the Gujarat High Court to quash the issuance of summons, but the High Court dismissed the appeal and referred the case to the lower court.
