After 10 years of British Airways air service in Pakistan!

The Dhaka Times Desk British Airways (BA) has resumed flights with Pakistan after more than a decade of suspension.

Recently, it was informed by BA that from now on, there will be 3 weekly flights from Islamabad to London through Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Accordingly, British Airways BA-621 landed at Islamabad Airport on Monday (June 3) at 9:25 am local time.

Note that in 2008, the British Airways flight operations were stopped after more than 50 people died in the bombing of the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The closed flight path has also reopened. This is the first time a western country has started its flight service to Pakistan. Earlier, only direct flights between Islamabad and London were operated by Pakistan International Airlines.

Regarding the resumption of flights to Islamabad, a British Airways spokesperson said, "We are using the new, long-haul Boeing 787 Dreamliner on this route." In an immediate response to the hotel attack in 2008, the airways authorities said, "We do not want to compromise on the safety of our customers, staff or aircraft."
