Egypt is in crisis. Morsi supporters reject the decree of the interim government

The Dhaka Times Desk The crisis in Egypt is deepening. Morsi supporters rejected the interim government's decree. Other countries of the world have also expressed concern over this crisis.

The situation looks like Egypt is indeed headed for civil war. Mufti Ahmed Al Tayeb, head of Al Azhar University in Egypt, has given such a warning after Russian President Vladimir Putin. He also fears that the situation in Egypt may turn into a civil war. The country has been in turmoil since at least 51 people were killed in firing by the army on July 8. Anger is evident among people.

In this situation, the president of the interim government, Adli Mansoor, expressed regret. He also issued a decree on elections. It said a panel would be set up with 15 days to revise the Muslim Brotherhood's draft constitution, which has been suspended. After that the amended constitution will be finalised. There will be a referendum on it within four months. Parliament elections will be held early next year. The presidential election will be announced only after the new parliament is convened. But his decree was rejected by the Muslim Brotherhood, the party of ousted President Mohamed Morsi. They are unwilling to accept Adli Mansoor as their leader. According to them, people did not put Adli Mansoor in power. So he has no power to issue decrees or orders. They are willing to sacrifice their lives to demand Morsi's return to power.

It is difficult to say in what direction the Egyptian situation will turn in this situation. But the belated images of the July 8 violence are horrifying. It showed that the streets of Egypt were covered in the blood of the victims. The body is laid in a line. The clothes worn by each corpse will be stained with blood. His relatives are mourning. A large number of people are receiving treatment in the hospital. Some of them were shot in the hand, some in the leg, some in the nose. The Muslim Brotherhood claimed that 53 people were killed by soldiers during their sit-in strike after Fajr prayers on July 8. Among them is a child. However, the army claimed that the terrorists had attacked them. They just replied. They also denied that the child was killed. They claim that the child being shown as dead on the internet is actually a photo from Syria.

Meanwhile, the vice-chairman of the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood, Essam Al-Irian, strongly opposed the issuance of the decree related to the election of International President Adli Mansoor. The Brotherhood's wing is called the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), Irian said, adding that whoever removed the elected president also issued a constitutional decree. Through this he is pulling the country back. Ahmed Abu Barakah, FJP's legal adviser, said the decree is invalid and illegal. Meanwhile, Brotherhood spokesman Jihad al-Haddad called for sit-ins and protests across the country yesterday. Ashraf Awad, who participated in the protest, said that no one voted for this president. There is no validity to his swearing in as President. The people do not accept any of the decisions he takes. Another protester named Hamdi Al Said said, I will stand for my vote. I voted for Morsi. I will stand by Morsi until he becomes a martyr like those who were shot dead on July 8. The Muslim Brotherhood believes Morsi is being held in a presidential guard barracks. For this reason, his supporters stayed outside him since Monday. The Brotherhood is claiming the killings by the army as 'genocide'.

Morsi supporters call on Egyptians to stand up to those who are hijacking your revolution with tanks. After such killings, the head of Al Azhar University, Mufti Ahmed Al Tayeb, expressed the fear of civil war in the country and said that he will take a solitary position until the violence ends. In the meantime, the hard-line Nuri Party has withdrawn itself from the process of selecting the prime minister of the Interwarti government. They also termed the July 8 massacre as genocide.

In such a situation, along with the people of Egypt, the people of the world are also worried. Almost all the leaders of the world, including the Muslim countries, are closely monitoring the situation in Egypt. It is the hope of the world that a peaceful solution will restore normal life in Egypt. Source: Internet
