According to an NDTV report, India was able to launch a successful attack on Tiger Hill with the help of Mirage 2000K POD and laser guided bombs in a record time of just 12 days during the Kargil war.

On 24 June 1999, the Mirage 2000 was operated from the writing POD at Tiger Hill under the supervision of Wing Commander Raghunath Nambir. Raghunath made this memorial on the 20th anniversary of that incident.
He said that the Mirage 2000 was in an instant. This was the first laser-guided attack by the Indian Air Force in that war.
Year Marshal Raghanith also said that this 1000 pound bomb was assembled in just 12 days. Two years before that we had an agreement with Israel for POD. Of which 15 Jaguar aircraft and 5 Mirage squadrons were brought. These works were supposed to be completed with the cooperation of the United States. But due to one of their embargoes, India never got or could get the Mirage fuse.
He also said, we got the cooperation of Israel at that time. Their team of technical experts worked closely with the Indian Air Force on lightening or paveway bomb combinations. We've never combined lightning pods. The pavway was not ready and we had no fuse.
It is not solved in a day. To solve the problem, the MiG-27 and MiG-21 fighters of the Indian Air Force were not capable of striking targets. It was not possible to strike at the height of Kargil Hill where the Pakistani troops were. Among them, two Air Force vehicles went missing and 5 soldiers were killed. One was a MiG-21 and another was an Mi-17 helicopter.
Development of the Mirage 2000 then began in Bangalore. It continued in Gwalior too. Just where the Mirage 2000 troops were based, active military training was taking place.
Finally, at 6:30 am on June 24, 3 Mirage 2000 bombs were launched from Adampur in Punjab targeting Tiger Hill. Its distance from Tiger Hill was about 50 km. At that time everyone was eagerly waiting to see if any smoke appeared.
Raghunath further said, I also changed the place to see the consequences of the attack. It can be seen that the Mirage hit 7 tents on the south face of Tiger Hill. The height of Tiger Hill was 16,600 feet. And our fighters took position at a height of 28 thousand feet. They were having problems due to strong wind pressure. Later they were able to descend to a height of 26,000 feet and attack.
