Popular singer Moushumi Akhter Salma's current husband Sanaullah Noori Sagar has been ordered by the court to be sent to jail.

After appearing in court yesterday (Wednesday) and applying for bail in the case filed against him, the court gave this order to deny bail and send him to jail.

The court ordered Sanaullah to be sent to jail in a case filed by his previous wife in the Cox's Bazar Women's Torture Tribunal.

Cox's Bazar Women and Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal-1 Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) Advocate Tapas confirmed this information to the media.

According to court sources, Sagar's first wife Tasnia Munyat alias Pushp filed a case against Sanaullah Noori Sagar in Cox's Bazar Women and Child Torture Prevention Tribunal-1 in November last year. (Case No-254, Section-11(c)/30 of Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act, 2000). He took anticipatory bail from the High Court in this case. Sanaullah Noori Sagar and his parents appeared in the lower court yesterday (Wednesday) as the bail period expired.

At this time, his lawyer Ahmad Kabir of Cox's Bazar court along with 8-10 others brought from Dhaka applied for bail. However, at the end of the hearing, the judge rejected his bail and ordered him to be sent to jail.

Advocate Tapas Rakshit and Mohammad Azam, Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) of Cox's Bazar Women and Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal-1, fought the case on behalf of the plaintiff.

APP Advocate Tapas Rakshit said that Salma's husband Sanaullah Noori alias Sagar, the main accused in the case, was ordered to be sent to jail without bail, but his parents were granted bail.

After the news of Salma's husband being denied bail and sent to jail, the court area was buzzing. The eager people of the area thronged the court to catch a glimpse of Salma's husband. However, the court police did not allow anyone to rush there. He was taken to jail at 4 p.m.

It should be noted that singer Salma got married to Sanaullah Noori Sagar suddenly. Then Sagar's previous wife filed a case in court. Salma's husband Sagar appeared in court and got bail.
