'UN has failed to prosecute officials who led Rohingya persecution and massacre'

UN Special Envoy Yanghee Lee said the Burmese military intensified premeditated violence in Rakhine in 2017. More than 700,000 Rohingya fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar's Rakhine in the face of murder, rape and persecution.

Yanghee Lee said, the UN Commission has not done anything according to its ability to get justice for the victims of oppression. However, Myanmar's ambassador to the United Nations rejected such a claim of the UN envoy.
He demanded that Younghee Lee be relieved of her ongoing duties.
