Jamia Masjid or also known as Jame Masjid (Urdu: جامع مسجد سرینگر) Mosque. This mosque is located in Nowhatta in the old city of Srinagar in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India. This mosque is well-known as the largest mosque in the Kashmir valley.
It is known that Sultan Shikandar Shah built this mosque in 1394 AD on the orders of Mir Muhammad Hamadani, son of Syed-ul-Auliya Syed Ali Hamadani. According to various sources, Shah Hamdan stayed here for some days to propagate Islam. So this mosque can be called a historical mosque.
