The scene you are looking at is a stunning home scene in Indonesia. This is called a traditional Torajan house.
History, religion, geography and culture combine to create an aura of mystery surrounding this region that is fascinating and complex. The Toraja made their home in the highlands of Sulawesi. The total number here is about 50 thousand. Many of them re-converted to Christianity, the Keoba were re-converted by Dutch missionaries. The Dutch arrived in the 1000s and established Indonesia's long history. They were established mainly through the Dutch East India Company. Concerned with the rise of Islam, the Dutch viewed Toraja's hostile elements as their "conversion to Christianity".
