In this regard, Akshay Kumar said, 'After so much criticism, I took the decision to apply for an Indian passport. I have already applied for passport. This saddened me a lot when I saw that I had to prove that I was an Indian with a passport. It is indeed a very sad thing.'
However, Akshay stated that his wife and children are all Indians. He lives with them and pays taxes in this country.
According to media reports, Akshay Kumar also has a Canadian passport. He further said, 'There was a time when 14 of my films flopped. Then I thought I had to do something else. A very close friend of mine lives in Canada, so he offered me to come to Canada as well. Then I don't even have a Canadian passport.'
Akshay also said, 'After getting the passport, my 15th film was quite successful. From then on, I never looked back. I keep going. It never occurred to me to change my passport.'
