Historic Hinda-Kasba Shahi Jame Mosque of Jaipurhat

Hinda-Kasba Shahi Jame Masjid is one of the mosques built in the touch of Islamic architecture in Jaipurhat district of Bangladesh. This mosque is located in Hinda village of Barail union of Kshetlal upazila, 15 km from Jaipurhat city. The mosque has various designs on the walls of glass, porcelain and mosaics which imitate Mughal architecture.

Bengali In 1365, this mosque was built under the supervision of Maulana Abdul Khalek Chishti under the instructions of Hazrat Abdul Gafur Chishti, one of the pirs of the Chishtia Tariqa known as Bagmari Pir. Hazrat Abdul Quader himself designed it and laid the foundation stone.

The length of the room of this mosque is 49.50 feet and width is 22.50 feet. Its 5 domes are said to have been made thinking about the 5 pillars of Islam. 1 large central one and 4 smaller domes around are made without rods. There is also a 40 feet tall minaret on the north side of the mosque. On the east side there is also the shrine of 4 disciples of Hazrat Shah Sultan Bakhti.
