He described the accident as a 'dramatic incident'. The German leader also said that Russia and Germany will discuss the regional situation further.
At the press conference, both Putin and Merkel said that the ongoing conflict in Syria must be resolved through political means. Putin said that all responsible parties in the international arena should participate in all efforts to rebuild Syria.
He also said that all these efforts should be carried out in agreement with the legitimate government. He also said that the international arena should provide assistance to every region of Syria without any preconditions.
