Qatar will issue a 5-year family visa

The Dhaka Times Desk The Qatari government has announced that it will issue family residence visas to families of expatriates from various countries, including working expatriate Bangladeshis. Those working legally in Qatar can easily bring their family members to Qatar. Earlier there was a provision to bring family members to visit Qatar on visit visa, but the previous family visit visa was only valid for 1 month. Which could later be increased up to 6 months.

The Qatari government has announced that it will issue family residence visas to families of expatriates from various countries, including working expatriate Bangladeshis. Those working legally in Qatar can easily bring their family members to Qatar. Previously there was a provision to bring family members to visit Qatar on a visit visa, but earlier the validity of the family visit visa was only 1 month. Which could later be increased up to 6 months.

From now on, it will be possible to bring family members to Qatar on a 5-year family residence visa in a very simple manner.

Requirements for Family Residence Visa Application:

1. Photocopy of valid Qatar ID of the applicant.

2. Attested copy of salary certificate and contract with the applicant's employer.

3. Photocopies of passports of all those who will be applying for travel.

4. Marriage certificate for wife and birth registration certificate for children.

5. If any member of the family is above 18 years of age then he/she has to get character certificate from his/her Union/Upzilla/Pursabha or City Corporation.

Additional Information:

1. The visa application form should be typed in Arabic and all the information should be filled as per the information given in the passport.

2. The application form and all accompanying documents must be clear and legible.

3. All those who will be applied for will have to pass the medical examination at the Qatar visa center in Dhaka or Sylhet located in Bangladesh.

4. Visa approval will be granted only after the information is scrutinized by the concerned authorities of Qatar visa.

5. 200 Qatari Riyal must be paid for each application.
