The report by the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture said that the final infrastructure construction of the hospital is nearing completion. This hospital cost 26 million US dollars to build. There, camel breeders can get their animals treated at their own expense.

The secretary of animal resources of Saudi Dr. Hamad Al-Bastan said that the Salam sub-hospital construction work is under review. Progress will be monitored.

However, the first hospital for camels was built in Dubai. Camel Hospital was launched in Dubai in December 2017. The hospital cost Dubai 40 million dirhams (10 million US dollars) to build.

It should be noted that desert people keep camels instead of cows and goats. Camels can carry their goods and pull carts. Meat and milk of domesticated camels are consumed. Camel racing and other pastimes like horses are very enjoyable.
