Italy has announced to close all schools and colleges for 10 days from Thursday to control the outbreak of Corona. It has also been decided that all professional leagues, including the popular Serie A, will be played indoors for the next month.
The announcement was made by Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conti and Education Minister Lucia Azzolina. Giuseppe Conti says that healthcare is now in a precarious situation.
Lucia Azzolina said on Twitter that this 'prudent' decision was not an ordinary one. The government has taken this decision with the opinion of experts.
However, some school authorities have written to parents saying that all schools will be closed from Thursday as a precautionary measure. Online education program will be conducted from Friday.
Italy's Civil Protection Department has said that the number of corona infected in the country so far is at least 3 thousand 99. 107 people died and 276 people recovered and returned home.
Among the country's more than 3,000 cases, its prevalence is higher in the northern region. Out of the 20 regions of the country, 19 have been affected by Corona.
On the other hand, Iran has the highest death toll after Italy outside of China. 92 people have died in the country so far. In addition, Friday prayers have been canceled in all provincial capitals of Iran due to the increasing outbreak of the virus.
It should be noted that on December 31st, the corona virus was detected for the first time in Wuhan, China. This deadly virus has already spread to at least 80 countries and regions.
About 95,000 people have been infected with the corona virus around the world and at least 3,250 people have lost their lives. Most of the infected and dead are from China. So far 2 thousand 981 people have died in the country's mainland, at least 80 thousand 270 people have been infected.
