The Dhaka Times Desk The ongoing holiday has been extended by another 7 days to prevent the spread of Corona Virus (Covid-19). The government is announcing a general holiday from April 5 to 9. Also, two days (April 10 and 11) will be a holiday until April 11.
State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said that after the Prime Minister's speech today (Tuesday) morning, an order is being issued by extending the government holiday from April 5 to April 9.
In the afternoon, the state minister said, 'The Prime Minister has cleared the holiday issue. According to his announcement, there will be a holiday from April 5 to 9. The holiday notification will be issued today (Tuesday) or tomorrow (Wednesday).'
In this, 17 consecutive days of holiday will be given in the country due to Corona. According to the previous decision, the holiday in the country continues from March 26 to April 4.
Meanwhile, according to the information of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) of the Department of Health on Tuesday, 2 more people have been infected with the global epidemic corona virus in the last 24 hours in the country. With this, the total number of infected people in Bangladesh stands at 51. Six more people have recovered from the virus. Due to which a total of 25 people have recovered.
