Micronesia is a country consisting of about 600 islands in the western Pacific Ocean. The country is mainly divided into 4 states centered around four large islands. These are Pohnpei, Kochrei, Chuk and Yap. It occupies a vast area of ocean, which would be about 5 times the size of France. In fact, if all the islands are combined, its area is only 271 square miles. It is a strange country in terms of size.
