According to WHO, according to the reports received by them until Wednesday, 22 thousand 73 health workers in the world have been positive or infected with the disease of Covid-19 or corona virus.
It is feared that the number of infected may increase. The reason is that there is still no mechanism for directly reporting health workers to WHO.
The agency also reported that preliminary results are showing that healthcare workers are becoming infected both in the workplace and in the community. In most cases, infected people are infected through family members as well.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has also emphasized the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, goggles, gloves and gowns to protect frontline healthcare workers.
