The name of that species of bird is Sandgrouse. They live in the Sahara desert of Africa, sometimes in the Kalahari desert. There the sky is always clear and cloudless, rugged. It rains there after many days. It means that you can understand how hot it is.
It is known that sometimes there is a prolonged flow of lu hawa (i.e. hot air that irritates the skin). Due to lack of rain, water is not readily available there. When the mother sandgrouse lays the eggs, the hatchlings need water. However, the mother sandgrouse has to cover her young with her two wings to protect them from predators and the intense sun.
Meanwhile, father sandgrouse birds fly in flocks in search of water bodies. Many father sandgrouses sometimes die in battles with hawks on this long journey. However, the few father sandgrouses that survive are content to go near water and drink the water themselves first. Then they fill their feathers with water for the chicks and start flying again.
That extra heavy body father carries at least 60 miles! When the father brings water, the little chicks start drinking water by putting their mouths inside the feathers of the father's chest.
And just like that, mother and father sandgrouse happily perform the difficult task of feeding the chicks for two months after birth. The reason is that their eyes widen when they see the chicks growing in front of their eyes.
This entire process is not an easy task by any means. Very time consuming. Goshawks, which mainly prey on these sandgrouses, then come and attack the sandgrouses one by one. He kept knocking them. Tear their body! What a strange scene!
Still, the father sandgrouse continued to fill his feathers with water, risking his life again and again. The more water they can take, the better. Meanwhile, the hunting party also started searching for prey. Knowing that death is certain, fathers are willing to sacrifice their lives only for the purpose of the child's healthy growth!
How many sandgrouses die every day fetching this water, along with their offspring and their families. Regardless of that, every day the fathers of the sandgrouse flock to bring water to the children. These types of small examples repeatedly show with fingers in the eyes, the comparison of parents is only parents!
What birds do for their chicks, humans do hundreds of times more for their children. In doing this they have a lot of joy, satisfaction and happiness.
