The world's fastest computer is the Corona virus super computer!

The Dhaka Times Desk গতির হিসেবে জাপানের ফুগাকু সুপার কম্পিউটার বিশ্ব ব্যাংকিংয়ে এক নম্বরে রয়েছে। করোনা মহামারি মোকাবিলায় যা ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে। তবে এর নকশাকারীরা আরও বড় কিছু পরিকল্পনা করছেন।

খবর ডয়চে ভেলে’র এক খবরে বলা হয়েছে, জাপানের রিকেন গবেষণা কেন্দ্র এবং ফুজিৎসু কোম্পানি এই সুপার কম্পিউটারটির উদ্ভাবন করেছে। আগে এক নম্বরে থাকা মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের সামিট সুপার কম্পিউটারকে এটি পেছনে ফেলে দিয়েছে। সামিটের চেয়ে ২.৮ গুণ দ্রুত কাজ করে এই কম্পিউটারটি। সাধারণত সব সুপার কম্পিউটার সাধারণ যে কোনো কম্পিউটারের চেয়ে এক হাজার গুণ দ্রুত কাজ করে থাকে। ২০২১ সালের এপ্রিল মাসে ফুগাকু পুরোদমে কাজ শুরু করবে। এটি তৈরিতে সময় লেগেছে ৬ বছর।

ইতিমধ্যে করোনা মহামারি মোকাবিলায় কাজে লাগানো হচ্ছে এই সুপার কম্পিউটারটিকে। অফিসে পার্টিশন থাকার পরও বা একটি ট্রেনে জানালা খোলা থাকলে যেভাবে করোনা ভাইরাস ছড়ায় তার পরীক্ষা করছে ফুগাকু। রিকেন পরিচালক সাতোশি মাৎসুওকা এই বিষয়ে বলেন, ‘কোভিড-১৯ এর মতো কঠিন সামাজিক দুর্যোগ মোকাবিলায় এই অত্যাধুনিক প্রযুক্তি বিশেষ অবদান রাখতে পারবে বলেও আশা করা হচ্ছে।’
