The Dhaka Times Desk For the convenience of drivers and passengers in Bangladesh, Uber has brought a Bengali version of the app. Uber reiterated its promise to provide local market-based services by launching the app in Bengal.
This Bengali version will be available on the Android operating system which will give the drivers a great navigation experience and also provide seamless ride booking facility to the passengers.
Drivers can optionally change the app language to 'Bangla' by changing the 'App Language' settings in their Uber app.
Passengers can also use the Bengali version of the Uber app by changing their smartphone settings from 'English' to 'Bangla'.
On the new language version of the app, Ratul Ghosh, head of Uber Bangladesh and East India, said, "We believe that technology is enabling us to constantly improve our services and bring convenient solutions to local customers as per their needs. Drivers are very important to Uber and are constantly communicated with. Based on their feedback, we realized that bringing its local language version is very important for a seamless app experience. We are very happy to add Bengali language to Uber app in Bangladesh and hope that this version will be very convenient for both drivers and passengers.
