As soon as the success was revealed, Russia began to receive requests for vaccines from different countries of the world. Russia has already received orders for 1 billion doses of vaccines from 20 countries.
Russia has started production of Sputnik-5, a new vaccine for Covid-19, the RT news agency reported on Saturday, citing the Russian Ministry of Health. Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murasko said that the vaccine is expected to reach the general public in January 2021. The vaccine was named Sputnik-5 after the world's first satellite built by Soviet Russia.
According to the report, the vaccine, developed by the Gamalya Institute in Moscow, also contains two components. In order to activate the immune system of the corona virus, the injection of these two ingredients should be applied every three weeks. Moscow said that Russia has already received orders for 1 billion doses of vaccine from 20 countries.
It should be noted that Russia was the first country in the world to approve the corona virus vaccine last Tuesday. But some Western experts fear that Russia may not have been able to maintain the vaccine's safety in the rush. The country's authorities have approved it without reviewing its effects on the human body.
German Health Minister Jane Spahn claimed that the vaccine had not been properly tested. Its side effects have also not been verified. Many may die because of it.
French researcher Isabelle Imbert gave a similar opinion. He said, we still do not know the results of experimental application of this research in human body. There are also questions about how safe this vaccine is.
On the other hand, Anthony Fauci, a member of the White House Corona Task Force of the US President's Office, expressed doubts about the data of this study. Therefore, the Minister of Health of Russia, Mikhail Murasko, said that these claims of others are completely baseless. Our vaccine research is successful and it is also safe in human body. He said the information on the vaccine will be released soon and hopefully that will ease some of the anxiety.
