The report says that the number of people on the brink of famine in September last year was 25 lakh, which increased to 35 lakh in May last year. The same situation happened in Yemen. Where two-thirds of the country's people are struggling with hunger. The United Nations' World Food Program says 12.2 million people in Yemen will suffer from global food shortages. Due to covid this number will increase. The reason is that 90 percent of the country's food has to be imported from other countries. All of that is now closed. The reason is that food is not being supplied properly in those countries due to covid. Among which, the prolonged civil war has completely crippled the country's economy. Not just Afghanistan or Yemen, but the Democratic Republic of Congo, Venezuela, Sudan, Ethiopia, Syria, Haiti, and even India are among the final 'hunger hotspots' they have labeled.

So no one knows where the situation will go next. On one hand there is the fear of covid, on the other hand there is also the fear of death due to loss of work.
