The Dhaka Times Desk The results of HSC and equivalent examination 2013 will be published on Saturday, August 3. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid told reporters on July 28.
HSC exam started on April 1 this year. But due to the strike, the examination could not be completed on time.
10 lakh 12 thousand 581 students appeared for the exam
This year a total of 10 lakh 12 thousand 581 students will participate in HSC under eight General Boards, Alim under Madrasa Board and HSC Vocational/BM (Business Management) and DIBS under Technical Board. Out of this, there were 8 lakh 23 thousand 241 candidates in HSC, 88 thousand 779 candidates in Alim, 95 thousand 956 candidates in HSC BM/Vocational and 4 thousand 605 candidates in DIBS.
5 lakh 35 thousand 662 male students and 4 lakh 76 thousand 919 female students out of total candidates.
It should be noted that students of 7,803 institutions gave the exam in 2,288 centers this year. 247 educational institutions and 92 examination centers have increased compared to last time. 165 students participated in the examination at five centers outside the country. The theory test was scheduled to be held from April 1 to May 28 and practical from June 1 to June 14, but due to the overall situation in the country, it got disrupted.
