YouTube adds a new shopping tool that allows clicking on specific product links while watching videos. The shopping tool is said to be built to ensure that users can buy a product as soon as they see a review. YouTube's parent company, Google, will receive a commission from showing ads.

Google's business model is largely dependent on advertising. Many people feel annoyed to see ads in the middle of watching videos on YouTube. It is believed that Google may also lower the ad serving rate if shopping tools are added to YouTube videos.
