An American startup called Hall Labs has released a new helmet called 'Air by Microclimate' in the US market as an alternative to face masks. It is basically stuck around the neck. The front face has a clear acrylic cover. The most important thing is, if you leave the house with that helmet on your head, it may seem like you are preparing to move to an office or space, not on Earth, but on Mars! But its price is not low, 199 US dollars, which is about 17 thousand taka in Bangladeshi taka.

This helmet also has ventilation with the help of a fan. The idea for the helmet first came to Michael Hall. He is the Managing Director of Labs. One day he went skiing with his family. However, he could not see the child's face as he was covered with a ski mask and goggles. That's when he came up with the idea of creating a 'microclimate' around his head, i.e. a separate environment from the outside environment. Then when the corona epidemic started, the labs started making helmets. There is also a system of air circulation inside the helmet with the help of a fan. The fans are powered by rechargeable batteries. The company also claims that its HEPA filter can block 99.97 percent of particles of 0.3 microns.

However, a report in the US newspaper 'The New York Times' says that the helmet, while looking 'cool' and high-tech, does not offer much protection than a face mask.
