Ankara has focused on improving relations with China despite the deterioration of relations due to US sanctions on Turkey. Therefore, for the first time with China, Türkiye launched a freight train on the railway.
In this regard, Ankara's Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismelglu said that the cargo train from Turkey arrived in China last Saturday. This is considered a huge milestone for the country. In a tweet, Adil Karaismelglu said that the export train to China is one of our victories in rail transport.
Note that the train started its journey from Istanbul on December 4. The train reached China's Xi'an after traveling 8,693 kilometers. The train reached China from Türkiye via Georgia, Azerbaijan, Caspian Sea and Kazakhstan.
