National Film Award-2019 today

The Dhaka Times Desk Today (January 17) the country's 44th National Film Awards 2019 were awarded. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina decorated the seat of the chief guest through virtual media from Ganobhaban in the event organized at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Agargaon of the capital at 10:30 am. On behalf of the Prime Minister, the president of the program handed over the prizes to the winners. Hasan Mahmud.

State Minister of the Ministry of Information Dr. Murad Hasan and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Information Ministry and former Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu. Information Secretary Khawaja Miah delivered the welcome speech. It was also attended by eminent persons from the field of film and culture.

Among the films produced in 2019, the jury board selected 31 people for the national award, including 6 pairs in 25 categories. Along with this, Masood Parvez (Sohail Rana) and Akhtar Suchanda of Kohinoor were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award this year for their special contribution to films.

The National Film Award 2019 notification was issued by the Ministry of Information on December 3 last year.
Best Film (Joint): Na Dorai and Phagun Hawaay.
Best Short Film: Nari Jeevan.
Best Documentary Film: SM Haroon or Rashid and Awal Chowdhury (which was in the dark).
Best Film Director: Tanim Rahman Anshu (No Dorai).
Best Actor in a Leading Role: Tariq Anam Khan (Spring Again).
Best Actress as Dhan: Prasunerah Binte Kamal (No Dorai).

Also Best Actor/Actress in a Khalid Role: Zahid Haasan (Saapludu).
Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Nargis Akhtar (Hosne Ara) (Maya the Lost Mother).
Best Actor in a Supporting Role: M Fazlur Rahman Babu (Fagun Hawa).
Best Child Artist (Joint) Naimur Rahman Apan (Black Megher Vela) and Afrin Akhtar (If One Day).
Best Music Director: Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury Imon (Maya the Lost Mother).
Best Dance Director: Habibur Rahman (I Didn't Find a Man Like My Mind).
Best Singer: Mrinal Kanti Das (Tumi Chaiya Dekho…) (Shuttle Train).
Best Female Singer (Joint): Mumtaz Begum (On the East Side of the House…) (Maya the Lost Mother) and Fatima-Tuz-Zahra Aishi (Maya, Maya Re…) (Maya the Lost Mother).

Best Lyricist (Joint): Nirmalendu Guna (Istitione Janam Amar…) (Black Megher Vela) and Dr. Kamal Abdul Nasser Chowdhury (Poet Kamal Chowdhury) (Chall O Bandhu Chal…) (Maya the Lost Mother).
Best Composer (joint): Plaban Qureshi (Abdul Qadir) (On the east side of the house...) and Syed Md. Tanveer Tarek (Amar Maa Aanchal…) (Maya the Lost Mother).
Best Narrator: Masud Pathik (Masud Rana) (Maya the Lost Mother).
Best Screenplay: Mahbub ur Rahman (No Dorai).
Best Dialogue Writer: Zakir Hossain Raju (I did not find a man like my mind).
Best Editor: Junaid Ahmad Haleem (Maya the Lost Mother).

Mohammad Rehmat Ullah Basu and Md are receiving the award of the best art director (joint). Farid Ahmed (I didn't find a man like me).
Best Cinematography: Suman Kumar Sarkar (N Dorai).
Best Singer: Ripon Nath (No Dorai).
Best Dress and Makeup: Khondkar Sazia Afrin (Fagun Hawa).
Best makeup man: Md. Raju (Maya the Lost Mother).

Note that the first film award was introduced in 1976. The first film awards were given on 4 April that year. The Lifetime Achievement Award was first introduced in 2009.

Things to do to prevent Corona virus

# stay at home all the time.
