GPA 5 : Notre Dame College is at the top

The Dhaka Times Desk Notre Dame College of Dhaka Board is at the top of the country in obtaining GPA 5, although it is in the sixth position in this year's board ranking. This year maximum 1766 people got GPA 5 from this college.

A total of 2 thousand 538 candidates participated in the examination in Humanities, Science and Commerce Department of Notre Dame College and 2 thousand 523 passed. Only 15 students failed. The pass rate is 99.41 percent. Compared to last year, this year the college got GPA-5 higher, but this year it has come down from the fifth position to the 6th position in the ranking.

In this context, the principal of Notre Dame College. Father Hemant Pius Rosario told the media that the teachers always motivate the college students for good results. If the teachers can teach a student properly then surely the student will do well. In addition to the textbooks in the college, students are given the free opportunity to gain global knowledge by reading various literatures of the country and abroad. Apart from this, 85% attendance of every student in the classroom is strictly monitored.

He also said that the pass rate and GPA should not be looked at but the quality of education should be looked at. The real issue is how much a student can apply what he learns in real life. Teachers should focus on increasing students' thinking power and intelligence. Then it will be possible to achieve the desired results.
