One such incident was caught in the CCTV footage in front of Velanagar Stadium in Narsingdi Sadar. What actually happened that day? While explaining the details, a news report said that an incident happened on the afternoon of February 27.

It is known that 28-year-old Sohag Hossain, a constable on duty at Narsingdi police line, was standing on the road and performing the duty of traffic police. A sixty-four-year-old rickshaw puller called from behind this young policeman.

At that time, the rickshaw driver told him that someone took the fare and left without paying the fare. And he came back empty handed. Meanwhile, he has no money for food.

The elderly rickshaw puller asks the traffic Sohag for 20 rupees. At one point, after several talks, Sohag gave money and also showed a food shop.

The video was recorded on a CCTV of a nearby hardware store. A polytechnic student named Swapan Sheikh collected the video from there and uploaded it. After uploading it through social media, it goes viral on various groups and pages.

Swapan Sheikh, the student who uploaded the video, said that I was a direct witness of the incident. That afternoon, while going to Asr prayer, I saw policeman Sohag Bhai giving money to that rickshaw puller.

I am surprised by this. After the prayer, after knowing the whole incident, I checked the backup from the CCTV software of my elder brother's hardware store connected to my phone and downloaded the video and uploaded it on Facebook.

Later many others download the same video and share it in different groups. I uploaded the video to spread this good work of police to everyone.

Police member Sohag Hossain said that this person born in Narayanganj district joined the police in August 2011. He has been serving at Narsingdi Police Line for the past one year. Sometimes, when there is a crisis of the traffic police, he performs the duties of the traffic as an extra force.

Sohag said, 'The rickshaw puller uncle wants money from me for breakfast. I am very impressed by the man. Then let him speak. Then I help him with money. Before that, I raise my hand and greet him. Even at this age, seeing him doing his own work, I wanted to respect him.

Police constable Sohag also said, I consider myself a servant only after joining the police in August 2011. Want to serve people, people have many misconceptions about us. I want to remove them too. The police not only run after the accused, the police also do humanitarian work.'

Narsingdi Additional Superintendent of Police Inamul Haque Sagar (Administration) applauded the incident and told the media, 'Police are indeed public servants. We work for the people. Many people have many misconceptions about us, things are really painful. Especially those who work in traffic police work tirelessly. Such humanitarian members are really proud of our police.
