Zamzam water distribution in Makkah-Madinah in a special arrangement

The Dhaka Times Desk It has been reported that Zamzam water will be distributed again from the King Abdullah Project located in Qudai area of Makkah from March 23 in view of the coming holy month of Ramadan after a long period of closure.

Chairman of Haramain Presidency and Head of Masjid Haram, Imam Sheikh Abdur Rahman As Sudais said that water from Zamzam well will be distributed from 1 pm to 9 pm on all days except Fridays during Ramadan.

A Saudi Gazette report said the National Water Distribution Agency will open its doors to customers. Naturally, the demand for Zamzam water increases during the month of Ramadan, that is why this step has been taken.

A 5 liter bottle of Zamzam including VAT will be available for 5.5 Rials. Anyone can collect a maximum of four bottles of water after 15 days.

Under the scheme, 60 people will be allowed to enter the customer center at a time. Due to the Corona epidemic, restrictions have been imposed on the movement of people there.

The news also said that Zamzam water bottles will also be collected from the water distribution project headquarters located in Kudai area. Also, 50 lakh bottles of Zamzam water will be provided in hypermarkets and supermarkets for common people. Those interested can also collect the water of this holy Zamzam from there.

According to Haramine management sources, they have already taken all kinds of precautions and preventive measures against the Covid-19 virus. Since 2010, under the leadership of the late Saudi King Abdullah, Zamzam water has been distributed to pilgrims and visitors to the holy 2 mosques of Mecca and Medina.

It is to be noted that the President of the Haramain Management Council Shaikh Abdur Rahman As Sudais has inaugurated a specially made water container vehicle to meet the water needs of those coming to Masjid Haram.

Saad Bin Muhammad Al Muhaimid, Assistant Director of the Haramain Affairs Management Committee, was also present at the inauguration ceremony of the special vehicle prepared for the distribution of Zamzam water in the Masjid Haram on March 21.
