The Dhaka Times Desk একসঙ্গে ৯টি সন্তান জন্ম দেওয়ার বিরল দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন করলেন মালির ২৫ বছর বয়সী হালিমা সিসে। যার মধ্যে দুই শিশুর অস্তিত্ব আগে থেকে বুঝতেও পারেননি চিকিৎসকরা। মালির স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয় এই তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছে।

গার্ডিয়ানের এক খবরে বলা হয়েছে, গর্ভাবস্থায়ই আলোচনায় উঠে আসেন পশ্চিম আফ্রিকার দেশ মালির হালিমা সিসে। দেশটির নেতারাও বিষয়টি গুরুত্ব সহকারে দেখছিলেন। গত মার্চে যখন চিকিৎসকরা জানান যে, হালিমার বিশেষ যত্নের প্রয়োজন, তখন দেশটির পরিবর্তনকামী নেতা বাহ এনদাও তাকে মরক্কো পাঠানোর নির্দেশ দিয়েছিলেন। অবশেষে ৪ মে মরক্কোতে তিনি সিজারের মাধ্যমে ৫ কন্যা এবং ৪ ছেলে সন্তানের জন্ম দিয়ে বিশ্বের ইতিহাসে এক বিরল দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন করেছেন। কারণ একসঙ্গে ৯ সন্তানের জন্ম বিশ্বে এটিই প্রথম।

এই বিষয়ে মালির স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী ফান্টা সিবাই বলেছেন, ‘এখন পর্যন্ত মা ও নবজাতকরা সুস্থ রয়েছেন। চিকিৎসকের সঙ্গে আমরা সবসময় যোগাযোগ রাখছি। কয়েক সপ্তাহের মধ্যেই তাদেরকে দেশে ফিরিয়ে আনা হবে।’

এই বিষয়ে মরক্কোর স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের মুখপাত্র রছিদ কৌধারি বলেছেন, ‘দেশের একটি হাসপাতালে একসঙ্গে এতো শিশু জন্মগ্রহণ করবে তা আমি কখনও ধারণাই করতে পারিনি। সত্যিই এক বিস্ময়কর ঘটনার স্বাক্ষী হলাম আমরা।’
