The child survived the air strike but was seriously injured. There is still ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.
The name of the child who survived the Israeli airstrike on the refugee camp west of Gaza yesterday (Saturday) is Omar Al Hadidi. The child's mother, four siblings and relatives were killed in the attack.
The child's father, Mohammed Al Hadidi, was not at home at the time of the attack. He told Reuters, 'No rocket attack was launched from that refugee camp. There were only children and women. For what crime were they killed like this?'
Omar's doctor said that the condition of the 5-month-old child is not good. The child's leg is broken. Injury marks all over the body.'
At least four people were killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza early that morning, health officials said. Palestinians also fired rockets at Tel Aviv. Many Israelis have already fled Tel Aviv to safety.
According to Reuters, at least 160 people have been killed in Gaza since the violence began last Monday. Health officials say 41 of the dead are children.
