Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 33 runs by four runs

The Dhaka Times Desk Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 33 runs to reach fourth place. Bangladesh-Sri Lanka match was held today (Sunday) at Sher E Bangla Nagar Stadium in Mirpur.

After Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah capitalized on the fightback, Mehdi Hasan got off to a flying start with the bowling of Miraj. Vanindu Hasaranga brought Sri Lanka back into the match with a killing innings in the counter attack. Still, this all-rounder could not save the end. Bangladesh advanced in the series by defeating the Lankans by 33 runs in a combined effort.

Bangladesh fourth in ODI league

This win came after a 10 match winless streak across all editions. Bangladesh got 10 points after defeating Sri Lanka by 33 runs in the first ODI. Bangladesh has reached number four in the ICC ODI Super League.
