The Dhaka Times Desk পর্যটকদের টাকার বিনিময়ে সামরিক হেলিকপ্টারে ঘুরানোর অফার দিলো লেবাননের সেনাবাহিনী। দেশটিতে গত কয়েক বছর ধরে চলমান আর্থিক সংকটের কারণে বাধ্য হয়েই এমন অফার দিয়েছেন তারা।

বিশ্বব্যাংক বলছে, ১৮৫০-র দশকের পর সবচেয়ে খারাপ অর্থনৈতিক সংকটের মধ্যদিয়ে যাচ্ছে লেবাননের সেনাবাহিনী। অবস্থা এমন দাঁড়িয়েছে যে, সৈন্যদের বেতন দিতেও হিমশিম খাচ্ছেন তারা। লেবাননের সেনাবাহিনী তাদের ওয়েবসাইটে এক ঘোষণায় জানিয়েছে যে, ১৫ মিনিটের এই ফ্লাইটে বেসামরিক ব্যক্তিরা ‘উপর হতে লেবানন’ দেখার সুযোগ পাবেন।

আল আরাবিয়া নিউজের এক খবরে জানা গেছে, সেনাবাহিনীর রবিনসন আর৪৪ রাভেন হেলিকপ্টারে করে এই জয়রাইডটির ব্যবস্থা করা হবে। আজ (বৃহস্পতিবার) থেকেই এটা শুরু হবে। ৩ বছরের বেশি বয়সীরা এই রাইডে অংশ নিতে পারবেন।

আর্থিক সংকটের কারণে সৈন্যদের বেতনের মূল্য কমে গেছে। অস্ত্র ব্যবস্থাপনার পেছনেও খরচ কমিয়েছে সেনাবাহিনী। এমনকি অন-ডিউটি সৈন্যদের খাবারের তালিকা হতে মাংস বাদ দিয়েছেন তারা।
