Seeing his son's condition, his mother took him to a local hospital. There was no solution in primary treatment. For which reason referred to SSKM Hospital, Kolkata. After a couple of hours of surgery, doctors at SSKM Hospital in Kolkata were able to remove the nail from the child's trachea.

Citing hospital sources, Indian news media reported that the child is 2 years and 7 months old, a resident of Dingi area of Itahar, North Dinajpur, West Bengal. The child's name is Mustakin Ali.

He suddenly swallowed a nail while playing last week. Realizing the urgency of the situation, the family members hurriedly took the child to Raiganj Hospital. However, the child was referred to Maldah Medical College and Hospital as there was no necessary equipment. There was also no provision for bronchoscopy. Due to which X-ray was done but no treatment was given there.

Mustakin was then referred to SSKM Hospital in Kolkata. Then the parents reached the hospital with the child. X-ray was done immediately after seeing the condition of the child. The x-ray report shows that the nail is lodged in the right side of the trachea. Meanwhile, the child started having trouble breathing. Oxygen saturation had dropped to 94.

In this procedure, the tube is inserted down the throat while the child is completely unconscious. In front of the tube there is a light, a camera. Through which the inside can also be seen. According to hospital sources, Mustakin is currently healthy. But for now he is kept under observation for 48 hours. After visiting two hospitals, the child's parents were relieved to finally recover their son.
