The moon of the month of Zilhaj was seen in the sky of Bangladesh today (Sunday). Next July 21 (Wednesday) the holy Eid-ul-Azha i.e. Eid of Sacrifice will be celebrated. This decision was informed at the National Moon Sighting Committee meeting held today (Sunday) evening.
The National Moon Sighting Committee meeting was held today (Sunday) evening in the meeting room of the Islamic Foundation at the National Mosque, Baitul Mukarram. State Minister for Religious Affairs Faridul Haque Khan presided over this meeting.
The Supreme Court of the country has announced that the Zilhaj month will start from Sunday (July 11) as the moon of the month of Zilhaj is not seen in the sky of Saudi Arabia. July 10 is the last day of the month of Zilkad in Saudi Arabia. Accordingly, Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in the country on July 20. And July 19 will be the day of Arafat.
