It has been informed that the corona virus vaccination program will be started at the union level across the country from August 7. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said yesterday (Tuesday), 'Prime Minister has given instructions to strengthen this vaccination program.
He said this to the reporters after a meeting titled 'Reviewing the activities of the restrictions imposed for the prevention of Covid-19 and strengthening the activities of providing vaccination against Covid-19' in the cabinet conference room.
The government will intensify the vaccination program. Corona vaccination will be given at the union level from August 7. Any citizen above the age of 18 will be vaccinated only if he carries a national identity card.'
The Home Minister said, 'The lockdown will continue till August 5. The industrialists requested that we cannot accept that request. Everyone, including public representatives, will be involved in the vaccination program. We will strengthen the immunization program. I will start with the vaccine that is available.'
Under the chairmanship of Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam, Secretaries of concerned ministries, Army, Air Force, Navy, Police, RAB and other top administration officials were also present.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek said, 'Corona cannot be prevented through lockdown. Everyone must follow the hygiene rules. That is why vaccination is emphasized. Vaccination centers will be opened at the Union Parishad level as well. Those who can bring national identity card will be vaccinated. Vaccination will be started at the ward level if more vaccinations are available.'
He said, at present, the number of patients above 50 is high. That is why they should quickly bring NID to the Union level vaccination center and take their vaccination.
Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said, 'Vaccination program is starting from next August 7 at the union level. Those who do not have national identity card and birth certificate, will also be registered in a special system and arranged for vaccination.
