The mosque you see is the historical Laldighi 9 dome mosque of Chittagong. This mosque of 1523 AD still stands as a witness of the times.
The first Laldighi 9-dome mosque was discovered during the British rule. Then locals started using this mosque. Due to the absence of any inscription on the mosque, its date of construction cannot be ascertained. However, it is believed that this mosque was built in 1523 by one Dilwar Khan.
