The Dhaka Times Desk From now on many popular Google apps will not work on very old Android smartphones. Which includes several features including Maps, Gmail and YouTube. Smartphone users cannot login to these apps even if they want to.
In a statement, Google said that as part of the ongoing process to keep users safe, devices running Android 2.3.7 or earlier will no longer be allowed to sign in from September 27, 2021.
If you still want to sign in to your device after September 27, the username or password may show up incorrectly when using Google products like Gmail, YouTube, and Maps.
This Google service will not work on those smartphones, they are Sony Xperia Advance, Lenovo K800, Sony Xperia Go, Samsung Galaxy S2, Vodafone Smart Two, Sony Xperia P, LG Spectrum and Sony Xperia S Set.
Moreover, this issue will also occur on LG Prada 3.0, HTC Evo 4G, HTC Velocity, Motorola Fire and Motorola XT532 smartphones.
Google has also suggested updating the smartphone to at least Android 3.0 version to avoid this problem. But must update to next version.
