The beautiful mosque you can see is the beautiful Guthia Mosque in Barisal. This mosque is considered as the largest mosque in the southern region.
Changuria village of Guthia in Ujirpur upazila of Barisal. This village has the largest mosque in the southern region. On December 16, 2003, a resident of Guthia Union of Uzirpur, S. Sarfuddin Ahmed personally initiated the construction of Guthia Baitul Aman Jame Masjid-Eidgah Complex by laying the foundation stone in front of Santu Changuria's residence on about 14 acres of land.
The construction of this Jame Masjid-Eidgah complex was completed in 2006. Inside this mosque complex, there is a large mosque-minare, Eidgah grounds with a capacity of more than 20,000, an orphanage, a post office, car parking facilities, lakes and ponds, and various types of flower gardens. About 2 lakh 10 thousand construction workers have worked in the construction of this mosque, according to the relevant authorities. Later the mosque came to be known as Guthia.
