Rumeisa Gelgi, a woman of more than 7 feet in height from Turkey, has recently been officially declared the tallest woman in the world by the Guinness World Authority.
According to the British online newspaper The Independent, Rumaiser is suffering from Weaver syndrome. Due to which his height is increasing. His current height is 7 feet 0.7 inches (215.16 cm).
It is known that 24-year-old Rumeisa moves around using a wheelchair most of the time. Apart from this, he can only walk using a walking frame. In 2014, Rumeisa set the record as the tallest teenage woman.
In this regard, he said, 'Every disadvantage can be an advantage for yourself, so however you accept yourself, be aware of your potential and try your best.'
Meanwhile, he was welcomed by the Guinness Book of World Records for the second time. Apart from being taller in height, Gelgi's arms are also much longer than normal humans. He said, 'I like to be different from everyone. It's attractive and makes me feel special. It also gives me easy access to high places, and looking down on people isn't bad at all.'
Also in 2014, at the age of 24, the world's tallest living teenager achieved this world record. Since then he has been working for those suffering from rare conditions.
According to the US-based National Organization for Rare Disorders, Weaver syndrome usually begins before birth and sometimes includes increased muscle mass, extremely wide eyes, wide foreheads, leg deformities and abnormally large ears. The reason for this is still not clear. However, many researchers believe that it may also be hereditary.
It should be noted that Sultan Kosen, recognized as the world's tallest man (8 feet 2.8 inches), is also a citizen of Turkey.
