On October 23, an IRGC soldier suddenly slapped the governor during a swearing-in ceremony in the provincial capital, Tabriz. News from Anadolu Agency.
"The soldier attacked me because his wife was vaccinated by a male health worker," the governor later told state television.
Governor Hurrem said he did not even know the soldier. But he forgave her and will not file any complaint in this regard.
On the other hand, the prosecutor of Tabriz has started an investigation against the Revolutionary Guard soldier. The IRGC said in a statement that legal action would be taken against the military officer.
