The Dhaka Times Desk Saudi Arabia is going to launch the world's first 'flying museum'. It was inaugurated on November 4 in the archaeological city of Al Ula.
Visitors can see archeological specimens excavated in the city of Al Ula in the flying museum. Saudi media Arab News gave this information.
According to the news, this museum is a joint collaborative project of the Royal Commission for Alullah and Saudia Airlines, the state flag carrier of Saudi Arabia. A collection of replicas of artefacts discovered at Alula through archaeological excavations will be displayed in this flying museum.
Passengers boarding the plane to visit the museum will also be able to watch a Discovery Channel documentary called 'Architects of Ancient Arabia'.
In this regard, the Commission's Head of Archeology and Cultural Heritage Research, Rebecca Footi, said, Al-Ula is a treasure of the Arabian Peninsula. Slowly they are discovering this secret. The main objective of this flying museum is to highlight the heritage of Alula and promote Alula as a tourist destination.
