The Dhaka Times Desk SSC and equivalent exams have to be held across the country today (Sunday) after a long year and a half due to Corona. This exam program will end on November 23.
Although there is a rule to start this exam in the first week of February every year, it was not possible to take the exam on time as the educational institutions were closed for almost one and a half years due to the global corona epidemic. At present the examination is being conducted on the revised short syllabus as the incidence rate is tolerable.
All preparations related to the exam have already been taken. This exam will be held in one and a half hours. Examination will be conducted on 3 specific subjects. It has been informed that the results will be published based on the results of these subjects.
22 lakh 27 thousand 113 candidates are participating in SSC and equivalent exams this year. This year's SSC and equivalent exams will be held through a total of 3,679 centers. A total of 29 thousand 35 educational institutions students are participating in the examination. 1.8 lakh 998 candidates of SSC/Dakhil/SSC (Vocational) examination of 9 General Boards, Madrasas and Technical Education Boards across the country are participating in this year's examination.
On the other hand, a total of 3 lakh 1 thousand 887 students are participating in the entrance examination in 710 examination centers. 1 lakh 24 thousand 228 people are giving vocational exam in 760 exam centers.
Compared to 2020, the total number of examinees increased by 1 lakh 79 thousand 334 in 2021. This growth rate is 8.76 percent. This time the total number of educational institutions increased by 151 and centers increased by 167.
The Ministry of Education and the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSE) have given guidance to parents and educational institutions and related parties by maintaining social distance regarding examinations.

Things to do to prevent Corona virus
# stay at home all the time.
# Follow the rules and use mask when going out for emergency.
